Polymath uses machine learning to transform any audio library (such as one from a hard drive or YouTube) into a sample library for music production. The programme automatically breaks down songs into stems (beats, bass, etc.), quantizes them to the same speed and beat grid (for example, 120 bpm), and analyses the musical structure (for example, verse, chorus, etc.), key (for example, C4, E3, etc.), and other information (timbre, loudness, etc.). The end product is a searchable sample collection that makes it easier for DJs, music producers, and ML audio developers to complete their work.
